Its unspoilt countryside offers many opportunities for outdoor leisure activities and walks, between the labyrinth of salt pans and the beach of the Aude on the Mediterranean.

A charming destination on the Aude coast, La Palme is a lively village with a rich architectural and historical heritage. Among its treasures are the fortified gates of the old walled town, the barbican, the clock tower and the dry stone huts called capitelles, the former convent, the 19th century wash houses, the mills, the 13th century church of Saint-Jean in the heart of the village, but also the Romanesque chapel of Saint-Pancrace along the Via Domitia outside the village. These are listed monuments that can be discovered through fascinating guided tours or pleasant walking tours.

On the edge of the Mediterranean, La Palme is also an ideal destination for lovers of seaside leisure and water sports: surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, but also sand yachting on the beach of Rouet. This wild beach, remarkable for its preserved landscape and its stretch of fine sand, is also home to the saline pumping station.
